Heenan Blaikie's leadership is well recognized by the industrial and business communities in Trois-Rivières and its surrounding area, especially for its expertise in labour and employment law, business law as well as civil and commercial litigation. We provide representation and services to small, medium and large companies in all industry sectors in the region. Furthermore, we are involved in both the private and public sectors.
Programs
We usually hire one student over the summer, if the needs of our office require it. We keep in mind that hiring a student is an investment in the next generation of lawyers of the firm.
The articling period spans over six months and usually starts at the end of the semester at the École du Barreau.
In the Trois-Rivières office, articling students have the opportunity to work in all our practice areas, without following a pre-established rotation.
How to Apply
- You are invited to apply for an articling position in January of the year you will be completing your studies at the École du Barreau. To do so, you must send your résumé as well as your official transcripts of undergraduate and law school grades from the École du Barreau. If no articling position is open for the following summer, we will let you know as soon as possible.
- Should a position be available, each application received is carefully reviewed by the Candidate Evaluation Committee. The Committee shortlists the candidates for an initial interview based on all information contained in their résumé and on their academic excellence.
- Students selected for the initial interview will meet with the members of the Committee who may call chosen candidates for a second interview. The final decision will be communicated to the candidates with all due dispatch.
