As more and more Canadian business involve foreign trade, the Supreme Court of Canada has, in a series of decisions, reformed private international law for common law Canada. John D. Gregory,General Counsel, Policy Division, Ministry of the Attorney General (Ontario); the Honourable Michel Bastarache, C.C., Heenan Blaikie counsel and former judge of the Supreme Court of Canada; and Simon Chester and Charlotte Conlin, Heenan Blaikie partners, will discuss how the new law affects an electronic economy in which businesses can sell in places they have never heard of.
